Graduation season is upon us. Geez, where did the time go?? A choir teacher at a local high school in my area wanted to treat her graduating seniors with a little something sweet. Here's a simple and quick tutorial for making mortar board cupcake toppers.
Finished cupcakes
Some with little music notes for the choir members
Thank you for posting the tutorial. The cupcakes came out nice, and I bet the grads enjoyed the treat.

ReplyDeleteAH! A-D0R-A-BLE!! I absolutely love your designs!!! I'm so sad for you that the bakery burned. After you've waited all this time... I've never commented before but you are always an inspiration when I'm looking for a way to decorate a cake. Thank you for sharing and I really do hope that you are able to thrive on this new business venture.
ReplyDeleteThank you for commenting!! More tutorials are definitely in the works. Stay tuned!!

I want to make these for my son's graduation party at the end of the month. This will be my first attempt at making something like this. Did you use fondant or gum paste??
ReplyDeleteI used fondant because it tastes better than gumpaste. I was sure some of the kids would take a bite.
ReplyDeleteThank You!
